Description:
Beautiful dressage boots made in Erkelenz, Germany from a single piece of box calf leather. Handstitched seams with a leather heel cap and welted leather sole. High dressage bow and whale-bone stiffner. Fully lined in calfskin. Full zip 'hidden' at the front of the boot.
We currently have these stunning boots on clearance, so are only available while stocks last and are no longer available for special order. These boots are new but may have slight marks or scratches from being tried on in-store. In our opinion any such marks are minimal, will probably be removed by regular conditioning and would not be noticeable unless you are looking at them very close up.
Sizes are limited, but please bear in mind that Konig foot sizes are often quite big; we recommend trying a whole foot size smaller than your regular shoe size. Details of how to measure your legs can be found below, but please do not hesitate to contact us whould you need any help in determining your size.
Size:
Available in UK Sizes 4.5-6.5
Items are listed with their height (H) and width (W) measurements in centimetres (cm)
To find your correct boot size, you will need to measure:
-
the circumference of your calf in cms at its widest point (take this measurement while standing up, in your normal breeches with socks on if you usually wear them and pull the tape measure relatively taut)
-
the height of your leg in cms (follow your leg round from the bottom of the knee cap to a bony prominence found on the outside/front of your leg and measure from here to the floor. Take this measurement while you are sitting down with your leg bent 90 degrees and without shoes on. You would expect this measurement to be somewhere in the 40cms - if it's wildly different to this then you are probably measuring incorrectly! Feel free to call for advice.)

Care:
All equestrian footwear is made to be durable and suitable for use. Manufacturing faults are rare and proper care will go along way to prolonging the life of any footwear. Water, mud and dirty bedding will all work to reduce the lifespan of your footwear. No footwear will last forever and footwear that is not cared for will not last as long as that which is properly cared for. Leather footwear in particular needs lots of care to prolong its life. To get the most out of your leather footwear you should:
Allow it to dry naturally at room temperature and away from direct heat sources
Brush off the worst of any dried mud or dirt with a soft brush
Regularly apply a leather conditioner
Use boot trees to preserve the shape of your boots
